A CAREER AT TAH
WHO WE ARE
At TAH, we’re all about happy people and healthy pets. For us, it’s a given that patient care excellence requires modern, continuously upgraded facilities and the use of the latest evidence-based approaches, equipment, and technology. But we believe it is only through people that pets can live long, healthy lives.
Our core focus lies in developing our people to obtain the skills and maintain the energy to do their best work. Our people-first approach and culture of ‘Teamwork, Togetherness, and Learning’ is the essence of TAH. It has allowed us to provide the warmth and personalised care of the local independent practice across an expanding network.
TAH is rooted in the Western Cape with a rapidly growing network of practices and vetshops across South Africa.
“At TAH we get exposure to a wide variety of cases and can access back up knowledge from vets that are really good in their field. The environment makes it possible to become a better vet, not just through improving vet skills, but also people skills.”Dr Christa Gerber
“The teams are very supportive at TAH. When I need help, I don’t hesitate to ask for it, simply because I know no-one will judge me. Working with specialists has kept me on my toes, it’s a driving factor and motivates you to learn more.”Dr Tapiwa Phiri

``When I joined someone said that TAH always seems to employ friendly people. You don’t feel nervous to ask questions of more senior, experienced vets. They are willing to give input freely – this is far less pressure for the new grad and you don’t have to feel like you must know everything.``Dr Jarryd Thorpe
“There is a great emphasis on continuous development with multiple in-house and external opportunities. Also, TAH invests in its people so our practices can improve – the company is about keeping up to date with best practices.”Dr Sam Pillay
“TAH is supportive and gives you space to learn and they are always eager to jump in and assist. The practice I work in, Bellville, is big but they maintain the family feeling and mean it when they say that the people come first.”Dr Joy Bhandi
“It is great to have a management group – we don’t have to think about HR and finance on a day-to-day basis. Not only are the practices very well-equipped, but we have backup when something goes wrong.”Dr Cathy Bezuidenhout
“At TAH Bellville we are open about mental health and many staff are open to talking about where they are at. I would feel comfortable addressing the topic with my managers – this is a safe space for people to address this issue.”Dr Keeley Hattingh
“At TAH Bellville, TAH's largest practice, we work your shift and when your shift is over you go home. There is minimal overtime and weekend hours are reasonable. Working hours are a big benefit to balancing work and family.”Sr Norma Boshoff
